Principal's Message

Welcome to Leeds, Panadura. Founded on 23rd August 1999, the School has progressed well gaining recognition and acceptance during a very short period of time.
The Public Examinations results in the G. C. E. O/L & A/L Examinations have been outstanding throughout the period. more

Branch - Payagala

Situated on 4 acres of land, by Galle Road, in between the 49th and 50th Km posts. It's about 41/2 Km from Katukurunda junction and 7 KIn from Kalutara. The physical plant consist of 6 building complexes - the main hall to accommodate 350 - 400 audience with a good stage, curtains and lighting. A nursery - kindergarten block to accommodate over 150 - 200 children, a two storied primary class complex, with 08-10 class rooms to accommodate over 200 children, a big library for 40 - 50 students with visual education facilities, the office complex for the principal and office staff and the staff quarters for the principal or staff.

The school is blessed with a children's playing area of about % acre of greenery, with a separate kiddies play area. There is also a back yard of over 01 acre, full of trees and a variety of other plants.

At present the student strength is 150 from the Play group to Form 2, the 7th year of formal schooling. There is a qualified Principal and a staff of 24, who are all qualified in different areas and subjects. The student: teacher proportion is 6: 1. There is also an office staff of2, assisted by 5 Maids and a gardener, cum caretaker.

In the field of extra curricular activities, facilities and coaching is provided for Athletics, swimming, badminton table-tennis, carrom, chess and karate. Children actively participate in the English and Sinhala literary activities, via the lively societies. The 3 main religions Buddhism, Christianity and Islam are taught in class and their religious practice take place for a few minutes daily, before they begin their academic activities.

The school has the space and facilities to accommodate double or treble the numbers that it caters to today.
